Curate

I noticed something about stuff in the house. All I have to do is pay attention to whether my heart and body are singing at any particular time - and then make decisions from there.

For example, if I look in a room—how do I feel?

Heavy and burdened or happy and light? If I look at a particular item - how do I feel? Get rid of everything that brings you down and keep what makes you smile.

If I try to get all heady, logical and intellectual about making decisions about what to keep, toss or buy - then I get stuck in a glumpy loop that most often takes me down. I’m in trouble if I revert to “I should” - such as “I should keep this,” or “I should pursue that,” or “I should like this.”

Curating is the art of shaping your life with intention, like selecting just the right peach at the farmer’s market.
